Stream Media Pte Ltd was founded in March 2009 by Chua Zi Yong. Presented with the opportunity from increasing smartphone penetration and demand for products and services on the go, MoVend, the seamless payment platform, was created to make content consumption simpler to the end user.
Stream Media Pte Ltd is supported by SPRING Singapore, Media Development Authority (MDA) and the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Chua Zi Yong, Founder and CEO – Passionate about mobile applications, Zi Yong was already active in the local developer scene even before he established Stream Media Pte Ltd. He saw the potential and opportunity that lies ahead in Android, and founded “CodeAndroid“, the Android Developer Group for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand in Jan 2009. As the most active developer group in this region, Zi Yong works closely with Google, Android manufacturers and other partners to promote Android-related development and launches (such as the Android Developer Lab World Tour 2010 in Singapore). He is also the Honorary Treasure of Mobile Alliance Singapore.
Mahsa Movahedi, Senior Mobile Software Developer – Mahsa Movahedi graduated with Bachelor of Computer Engineering from University of Computer Studies Yazd, majoring in Computer Software. She has extensive knowledge in Web languages like J2SE, J2EE, JSP and Servlets, mobile platforms like Android and J2ME. Her previous work experience includes 2 years in MAGFA, Iran, where she worked as a senior engineer in development of SMS gateway software communicating with customers via SMPP, HTTP, web service and RMI interfaces. One of the best Android developers in Singapore, she is responsible for developing the software libraries in MoVend for the mobile platforms and Android applications for our clients, Sony Ericsson and Dell.
Leong Hean Hong, Project Manager – Hean Hong has graduated from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with (2nd Class) Honor. Upon graduation, he has been working in CNET as a software engineer. His job scope includes development and maintenance of large Content Management System (CMS) for several countries (Southeast Asia, Japan, French, and UK). Multi-talented, Hean Hong is familiar with web, server and mobile development, and has developed applications on iPhone and Android. He is also one of the key pillars behind CodeAndroid Malaysia, and has outreached to developers in many technology and developer events. At Stream Media, he is in charge of managing projects and overseeing the whole project delivery.
Nyan Lynn Htun, Software Engineer – Lynn Htun graduated with a Bachelor in Computer Science from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon. After which, he joined the Institute of System Science (ISS) in NUS and has just completed his course, obtaining a graduate diploma in System Analyst. Lynn Htun is also a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. Highly skilled in Java programming, Lynn Htun is in charge of Android project development in Stream Media.
Aung Bo Naing, Software Engineer – Bo Naing graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Engineer) (Information Technology) from Dagon University, Yangon, Myanmar. He went on to further his studies and is now a graduate of Institute of Systems Science (ISS), NUS. With a Graduate Diploma in System Analysis, Bo Naing is proficient in Java, C#, SQL, HTML, Javascript and PHP. He is responsible for the company’s server and web-based solutions.
